Light the night with Zazu Kids Lou and Cheeky Rascals

Bedtime can be difficult with toddlers. The last few months have seen an increase in Taylor resisting sleep and waking through the night. In a bid to help reduce the bed time struggles we introduced the Zazu Kids Lou owl night light. Of course I’d be a fool to think a night light is going to solve our bedtime battle, it isn’t. But this particular night light does have a series of helpful features that have helped.

  • 2 lights, the owl and outer ring, can be used together or separately
  • Independently Adjustable light settings, choose between bright, soft and ambient
  • Separate timer for each light with auto fade and shut off once your child sleeps
  • Voice activation sound sensor to turn on the light, then fade and switch off after 5 minutes
  • Includes mains lead and adapter

The lamp is so simple to control Taylor can switch it on and off by himself, with ease. Upon first use he thought it was amazing! “Wooooah” was his reaction. Woah indeed. Lou is a really cute character.

We’ve used the lamp in various rooms and taken it travelling where he has been able to control it. At home we keep the lamp on a shelf where he can’t reach it, this is because we have it plugged in at the mains and would rather he didn’t play with it.

With the option to have one of two lights on or both at once the Zazu night light is a versatile nursery essential.

Using simple button controls you can can choose to  have the archway lit, the owl, or both. This helps in choosing the level of light you need.

Adjustable brightness means we have enough light to read bedtime stories. It also allows us to reduce the brightness when it’s time to sleep. Before this we would tell stories with a bright light which didn’t help Taylor to wind down.

My favourite feature is the voice activation. If Taylor cries the light switches itself on. Such a simple yet effective feature. I’ve been concerned that when Taylor wakes in the night he’s alone in the dark, thus causing him to become upset. With the night light I feel at ease knowing he’ll never be sat in the dark waiting for us to come to him. The light will also switch itself off again after 5 minutes of quiet.

Lou the night owl is a beautiful night light that gives your child the reassurance of soothing light that helps them settle to sleep.

Lou the owl Night Light can be found at Cheeky Rascals  retailing for £29.99 in a selection of 3 colours; blue, pink, and grey. Our Lou is grey and fits in perfectly with the decor of Taylor’s bedroom. He looks great. We love Lou!

we were sent Lou for the purpose of this review, all opinions are honest and our own.
