Aside from tears and tantrums one of the less than perfect parts of parenting is the smell. Sure you get used to it but nothing can prepare you for it. That strong smell that hits you as you enter your child’s bedroom of a morning or come home from work having been used to the outside world. Nappy smell.
Their’s no nice way of saying it is there? Babies wear nappies and nappies stink. I can’t sugar coat it and Taylor agrees. He holds his nose as he says “uuurgh poo” and sticks his tongue out. – He knows he smells.
On the days that we use disposable nappies we tend to pop them into nappy bags and brave the rain to run to the outdoor bin. Otherwise you risk the stink lingering around the room and nobody wants that.
