Fire burn and caldron bubble… – The season of spooks is upon us!
I’ve always loved halloween, my mum used to carve us our own little lanterns and we’d go trick or treating dressed up, I was always a cat. I grew up on an army estate so it was safe and it was no exaggeration when you said everyone knew one another. You were never approaching the home of a stranger.

Taylor won’t grow up in an environment as I did so I’m not sure I’d allow him to do the same when he’s older. I’ve always loved the idea of decorating the house for halloween though.

I’d like our family to celebrate Halloween from home, American style. From head stones in the front garden to spiders in windows. – This year we should (fingers crossed) be living in our new home and that’s my chance to get decorating!

I recently popped into B&M to find they have a huge selection of Halloween products for doing exactly what I wanted. It was the perfect opportunity to start my collection of Halloween decorations and get ready for celebrating in our new home.
They also sell sweets, huge bags of my favourite Parma Violets, 3 bags may have fallen in to my basket. And I have no regrets! I also picked up a seasonal gift for Dylan the dog who was thrilled.

Overall everything I chose came to under £30, including sweets, which I thought was great value, especially as a lot of it can be packed away and reused each year. We’ve got enough to decorate the outside with caution tape, honeycomb roof decorations to hang from the ceiling, a luxury table cloth and a light up window decoration. I’ve also got enough Parma Violets to keep me happy until Christmas.
