Milestone: Dad's the word at 9 months!

Dear Taylor,

On the 1st of October you turned 9 months old and another month has passed us by. We were away in Scotland with your Grandma and Granddad Clarence having far too much fun to stop and write about it at the time.

Firstly, I forgot to pack our milestone cards so we have no ‘Today I am 9 Months Old’ pictures. However, we do have pictures I took on the day out to Loch Ness! You probably won’t remember this in years to come but it was possibly the longest day of our trip and we spent most of it in the car. You were so good at travelling for the entire week, Daddy and I were so proud of you and also thankful as it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable with a screaming baby.

As always this month has seen you flourish and learn new skills, from words to waving you’re changing so quickly and we’re loving every minute of it.

So this month you –
☆ Said Daddy, Da, Dada, Dad… Everything involving ‘D’ and Dad, you even shout Dada at strangers on the tram and at the TV. You’ll no longer entertain the ‘A’ or ‘B’ sounds.
☆ Learnt to wave! – It’s so cute, you wave goodnight and even wave at people on TV.
☆ Are still wearing 6-9 month clothes. They might be a bit baggy but you’re growing fast.
☆ Are eating 3 meals a day but would eat yoghurt for every meal if we let you.
☆ Have been sleeping in your own bedroom for almost two months and doing really well at sleeping right through most nights.
☆ Visited a beach for the first time and splashed in the water!

September was really fun for us all, especially as we got to spend a whole week with Daddy on our first family trip. I especially loved us having the extra time together as a family, Daddy makes you laugh so much and your laugh is infectious. Every minute and every month is magical with you and we look forward to seeing what the next month brings.

Awww learning to wave is the cutest thing. How lucky are you having a good baby that travels well. My 2 hate being shut up in the car and i dread long journeys. What a little cutie pie x

Lovely post idea, it will be great for him to look back on. 9 months is such a cute age, they are really interacting more with everyone around them and their personalities shine through 🙂 Lovely photos, you caught that last one at such a perfect moment!

You’ve brought me back to our first family holiday with my girl (now 4). She was 10 months at the time. She cried in the car the whole unless I sang ‘how much is that doggy in the wondow’ on repeat. For a week. Haha. I’m so glad you had a lovely time and that Taylor was a good traveller.

  • 9 months old, a lovely age and one I remember the most of my little one who is six now. Taylor is doing so well and looks adorable in your pictures. You must be so proud 🙂

  • Ana De Jesus

Aw you should do posts like these more often I think it is really sweet of you to do that. Taylor will love peering into the past.

They always seem to say ‘Dada’ first because it’s the Mama that’s teaching them to talk 😛 Lovely post x
